As someone who just completed their first year, I found this course exceptionally beneficial from both the professional and personal aspects. I believe it cemented some concepts that I may apply to my job directly & words of wisdom, coming from relatable women’s experiences. My favourite and most impactful takeaway ‘your work does not have a mouth’. Being in a junior analyst level sometimes contributions & their value may be lost. More specifically, being in a smaller office where reporting lines are in London or NY, advertising your own work becomes increasingly important. I’ve learnt the importance of communication and boundaries in the workplace, for creating a more balanced life and something that us ‘Gen Zs’ value more. With this, I have learnt the importance of a recovery strategy and started implementing it monthly (More Spa days woo-hoo)!
Socially, ASPIRE created a safe space and opportunity to network with women in the firm across lines of business. I have made some relationships and created support which now continue and extend outside the ASPIRE program.
