Resilience and well-being are important because they give people the strength and tools needed to process and overcome hardship. Those lacking resilience get easily overwhelmed, and may turn to unhealthy coping mechanisms.
People with resilience do not experience less distress, grief or anxiety than other people do. They simply use healthy coping skills and a resilience tool-kit (see below) that we teach on the Netflix of Well-Being so that they emerge stronger than they were before.
